Elagabalus AD 218-222. Denarius (AR; 20-21mm; 2.77g; 12h) 221. IMP ANTONINVS - PIVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus with horn to right. Rev. [P M TR P] IIII COS III P P Elagabalus, laureate, draped to feet, with large knot in gridle at waist, standing front, head left, sacrificing out of patera in right hand over garlanded, and lighted altar, left, and holding club, sloped slightly up to right, at left shoulder, in left; star, high left, in field; to left and to right, standard. Rare.
